BPC-157 is one of the most-cited peptides in modern recovery research. Most of the published work is preclinical — animal studies and in-vitro models — but the body of evidence is unusually deep for a research-stage molecule.

Tendon and ligament research

Multiple rat-model studies report accelerated tendon-to-bone healing and Achilles transection recovery with BPC-157 administration versus control. Mechanistic work points to growth-factor receptor upregulation and angiogenic signaling.

Gastrointestinal research

BPC-157 was originally isolated as part of a protein in gastric juice. Animal studies cover gastric ulcer models, inflammatory bowel models, and esophageal injury — historically the molecule's deepest research lane.

What is missing
